ABOUT · 2026 LAUNCH
Built by someone who got tired of trusting other people's projections.
Every fantasy site gives you a single projection — one number per player, generated somewhere upstream, with the football logic baked in and locked away. If you disagree with their take on a player — say, you think Kittle gets more red-zone targets this year, or Pearsall takes a meaningful target share by Week 6 — there's no way to bake that opinion into the rankings.
So you're stuck choosing between "accept the consensus number" (and set aside what you actually believe about the football) or "build my own from scratch in a spreadsheet" (and lose every weekend in August to formulas that break when you sneeze on them). Neither option is good. Both options waste the years of football pattern recognition you've built up watching this league.
Playbook Predictor is the third option. You set the football assumptions — carries, targets, efficiency, red-zone usage — and the engine recalculates every projection and every ranking live. The math runs underneath. You make football decisions.
Who's building this
As a long-time fantasy player, I've lost enough drafts to consensus rankings to take it personally. My day job is in business strategy and operations, which mostly means making decisions under uncertainty and arguing about assumptions. This product is the same discipline, applied to fantasy football.
I'm not a media person. I don't have a podcast. I don't have rankings to defend. The product isn't built around my takes — it's built around yours. The premise of Playbook Predictor is that the best person to predict your league is you, given the right tools.
Why now
A tool that recalculates 300 players in real time across 32 team budgets used to require a real engineering team — a backend developer, a frontend developer, a designer, probably a data person. That's a half-million-dollar-a-year team to build a fantasy football tool. The math didn't work.
It does now. Modern tooling has dropped the cost of building real software by enough that a single person with strong opinions can ship what used to take a team. That's why this tool didn't exist before, and why it does now.
